Sustainability at Akasya

Implementing sustainability practices that set an example for our industry and Turkey, here at Akasya we create value with passion, and take sustainable development as one of our core values.

Since 2019, embracing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, we have been operating in accordance with the 10 principles of the United Nations Global Compact, of which we are one of the signatories. In addition, we present our relevant performance to our stakeholders through our annual Sustainability Reports.


Digitalization and Information Security

In order to achieve our strategic goals, we aim to produce results that are human-oriented, prioritizing customer and employee experience, providing data to all decision-making processes, and also making a difference by using modern technologies effectively and efficiently. In this direction, with the Akasya Mobile Application launch in 2019, we have moved our marketing activities to a new medium. With the application downloaded to smart mobile devices, we have implemented campaigns for special occasions.

Climate Security

We carry out our operations with the awareness of our responsibility and the risks posed by climate change. To that end, we’re working to minimize the environmental impact of our operations. We are effectively controlling our existing consumptions and implementing projects that will increase productivity. In 2019, we made an environmental protection investment of TL 367,700 in Akasya and Akbatı

BREEAM Certificate

Akasya received the certificate issued by BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method—a building environmental assessment system adopted in 25 countries around the world), with an “Excellent” rating in 2018.

Customer Satisfaction

In order to keep our customers highly satisfied, we are constantly implementing new applications and projects. We closely follow megatrends such as demographic changes and digitalization; and manage our business practices and the services accordingly. In 2019, Akasya scored 94.36 out of 100 in the Secret Customer Survey conducted every two months by the Association of Shopping Center and Investors.
